Rund Partnership Ltd were appointed by Portsmouth City Primary Care Trust as part of the ongoing rolling planned maintenance works at the Grade II listed building of St James Hospital. Our service was to survey, specify and administer the Contract for principal façade repairs/restoration works which comprised from major bath stone repairs/replacement, reconstruction of chimneys, repairs to timber sash windows, brickwork re-pointing and external refurbishment to the clock tower.

Due to the nature of the work and upon closer disruptive investigation the magnitude of stone repairs was uncovered. The scope of many elevations was reduced to reflect a more concentrated and detailed work area. Through co-ordination, management and quality control the financial constraints and Clients budget were not compromised with little overrun to the construction programme.
