Following the successful completion of the Bayhouse School Sports Hall, an official opening has been held to celebrate the success of the new centre.
This new centre is a fantastic, and much needed facility for Bayhouse School and the surrounding area. The school Headmaster, Ian Potter, strived long and hard to enable this to happen. His dream became reality following the award of a grant of £2.8m from the government.
Rund were appointed as project manager, quantity surveyor, contract administrator, clerk of works and CDM coordinator for the design and build of this state of the arts sports hall and fitness suite in line with Sport England’s specification.
Working closely with the school and The Construction Partnership, the team successfully completed the project in 2015.
The facility was officially opened by former Pompey footballer Darren Anderton. To celebrate the opening, a football tournament was organised, and saw both the contractor and ourselves each contribute £5,000 towards new equipment.
We hope Bayhouse School and the local community are able to enjoy the centre for many years to come, and have pleasure in using these excellent new facilities.
