Network Homes has commissioned Rund’s full range of Clerk of Works services – including Quality, Fire Stopping and Mechanical & Electrical inspections – as the Registered Provider kickstarts its first development in Essex.
Project Background

Borders Lane in Epping Forest marks the housing association’s first major project in its partnership with Epping Forest District Council.

The Section 106 scheme will see 107 homes developed across two neighbouring sites. Homes will be split between Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership tenure, ranging from one bed to four-bedroom family-sized properties.

Residents will also have access to large balconies and green communal spaces at the site.

The Solution

As Clerk of Works, our services will be fundamental to ensuring all homes are built to the highest quality standards.

Our expert team will carry out a broad scope of services including reviewing designs and drawings, and checking building materials and workmanship quality against drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements.

We will also identify and suggest rectifications for any defects throughout the building process, while keeping detailed records of work progress.
