Wokingham Borough Council has commissioned Rund’s Clerk of Works expertise on its Carnival Place residential project.
Project Background
Carnival Place forms part of a wider regeneration scheme for Wokingham town centre, with the residential development sitting adjacent to a new multi-use complex known as Carnival Hub. In addition to new homes, Carnival Place will include a new leisure centre and cultural hub with a spa, gym and swimming pool, and a new home for Wokingham Library.
The creation of 55 new apartments at Carnival Place will involve off-site manufacturing and modular techniques to quickly deliver a panelised cross wall build system.
The Solution
As Clerk of Works, we will carry out stringent quality control procedures across the new apartments at Carnival Place.
Our scope of work includes inspecting work and cross-checking against drawings and specifications, as well as identifying and suggesting rectification methods for any issues and defects during construction.
We will also regularly contribute to and attend progress meetings, providing our client with detailed progress reports on a weekly basis.
