Chilmington Green will be delivered over the next 20 years, providing around 5,750 homes across three distinctive neighbourhoods, alongside retail, community, and recreational facilities. The new suburb will also incorporate four primary schools, a secondary school, a park, and extensive areas of green space to create a high-quality, community-focused environment.
Chilmington Green is a highly collaborative scheme between its developers and Ashford Borough Council, with dedicated agreements in place to ensure the development delivers a vibrant, characterful, and exceptional quality space. A ‘Quality Charter’ has been agreed between all parties which sets out practical steps to achieve various themes. These themes include making a successful community, developing quality, sustainable homes which meet changing needs, and designing and delivering a varied and memorable place for residents to be proud of.
As Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works, we will be working across two parcels of land at the scheme, helping Man Group deliver 225 homes split between BTR, private and affordable housing tenures. The scheme will capitalise on a burgeoning trend of single-family homes (SFH) in the BTR sector, as developers and investors take advantage of growing demand for rental housing in new areas to meet differing needs.
Our Employer’s Agent role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including carrying out specification reviews, risk management and value engineering to help lead the project to successful completion. Our Clerk of Works service will be central to ensuring high-quality delivery at every stage of the project, in respect of design, safety, workmanship and installation.
