Europa House in Portsmouth and Brunswick House in Southampton collectively house more than 400 students in premium accommodation. Our expert Clerk of Works services included due diligence, inspection, and monitoring which were fundamental as both properties underwent essential renovation in order to achieve EW1s certification. 

Works at Brunswick House included cladding replacement on its tower block with a podium made up of Euroclad. The primary wall system to the podium and traditional brick cavity barriers were also replaced.

Here, our Clerk of Works also oversaw spandrel panel replacement, Injectaclad installation, and witnessed water testing of the system. Inspection included replacement cavity barriers and thermal insulation. 

Works at Europa House included removing spandrel panels and replacing them with non-combustible panels. All cavity barriers and Fire Stopping features were also reinstated, with cavity works also made good around the podium system.

Our Clerk of Works services ensured all works were executed with the highest quality standards. Our experts conducted detailed site inspections and specification reviews, using specialist Fire Stopping knowledge to ensure all works complied with the latest legislation and Building Safety Regulator requirements. On both projects, our Clerk of Works worked closely with the Architect and Fire Engineer to ensure full compliance was achieved throughout.
