Rund is working with Brent Council and St George to create a vibrant new canal-side neighbourhood in northwest London, currently in its second phase of development.
Project Background
Brent Council and St George are delivering 3,030 new homes as part of a six-phase development at Grand Union, located in Alperton.
The development will feature a new Twisty Tails nursery, medical centre, community centre and Co-op convenience store as well as a Canalside Piazza offering cafes, bars, and restaurants. Grand Union also benefits from excellent transport links into central London from nearby Stonebridge Park Station, as well as 11 acres of landscaped gardens, riverside meadows, and waterside pathways.
The site’s highly desirable location and on-site amenities are key selling points for London’s future renters and homeowners. The regeneration project is set to breathe new life into what was a worn-out and redundant site, bringing much-needed new homes, job opportunities and improvements to the public realm.
The Solution
Our Employer’s Agent services have been instrumental in helping develop 115 affordable rent and shared ownership homes at Phase One.
Our role continues at Phase Two across an additional 115 affordable rent homes. Our responsibilities involve carrying out monthly valuations in addition to high-quality contract administration and monitoring of costs, site quality, and progress. We are also adding value by carrying out monthly quality control inspections, delivered by our expert Clerk of Works team.
Our many years of experience working on affordable housing developments will help ensure all specifications are met and the project is successfully completed to the highest quality standards, within budget and on programme.
