St William, a development arm of Berkeley Group, and Riverstone Chelsea Property Limited have jointly appointed Rund as Independent Certifier at King’s Road Park.
Project Background

The development forms part of the substantial South Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area, which will create 1,800 new homes, restaurants, bars, leisure, and office space. The site is also home to what is thought to be the oldest gasholder in the world – a Listed feature which will be restored and incorporated into the landscaping scheme for community use.

Our appointment as Independent Certifier covers phase three of King’s Road Park, involving the creation of a 14-storey residential block. 142 private sale homes, including four penthouses, will be designed to premium quality standards to match the wider scheme’s luxury offering. Multiple resident amenities will also be developed including a 25m swimming pool, a gymnasium, two cinema rooms, and communal gardens.

The Solution

As Independent Certifier, we will provide specialist, impartial advice, monitor compliance with design, specification and statutory standards and ensure all project requirements are met. Our broad scope of work includes monthly progress meetings, regular site visits and reporting, resolving disagreements and disputes related to designs or delays, and valuing variations where disputed.

We will also be certifying tranche payments, issuing stage completion certificates for wind and watertight, practical completion and estate completion. We will manage the end of defects process through undertaking inspections and issuing the certificate of making good defects.
