Brent Council has extended Rund’s appointment as Employer’s Agent at £28m residential scheme, Grand Union, as the project moves to its second phase.
Brent Council and St George are delivering 3,030 new homes as part of a six-phase development at Grand Union, located in Alperton. Our Employer’s Agent services have been instrumental in helping develop 115 affordable rent and shared ownership homes at Phase One.
Our role will continue at Phase Two across an additional 115 affordable rent homes. Our responsibilities will involve carrying out monthly valuations in addition to high-quality contract administration and monitoring of costs, site quality, and progress. We are also adding value by carrying out monthly quality control inspections, delivered by our expert Clerk of Works team.
Simon Stewart, Managing Surveyor at Rund commented: “Fantastic progress has been made so far at Grand Union, with homes on numerous parcels of land now complete as part of Phase One. The quality of workmanship and construction has been outstanding, and we are looking forward to contributing towards this ongoing success through our extended role. It has been a pleasure to work on Grand Union so far and our team is excited to help the scheme reach its next key milestones.”
Grand Union is set to become a thriving community, featuring a new nursery, medical centre, community centre, and Co-op convenience store as well as a Canalside Piazza offering cafes, bars, and restaurants.
