Rund has recently offset 84.3 tonnes of carbon dioxide through Carbon Footprint Limited.
We are committed to taking actions that contribute to a greener, more sustainable future as we take proactive steps to become a carbon-neutral business.
One of the ways we are achieving this is through carbon offsetting, which allows us to invest in verified carbon reduction projects around the world. These projects are evaluated and certified to ensure they are making a tangible and measurable impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. But what does offsetting 84.3 tonnes of carbon dioxide really mean? To put it into perspective, it's equivalent to planting over 1,800 trees, helping mitigate our environmental impact and contribute to the fight against climate change.
The carbon reduction projects we support are diverse and have a global impact. They range from supporting renewable energy projects like wind and solar farms in India to reforestation projects in Cambodia and community projects in Eritrea. These projects also have additional social and environmental co-benefits, such as providing clean energy and water to local communities, supporting biodiversity and creating job opportunities.
Our commitment to sustainability doesn't stop at carbon offsetting. We continuously work towards managing our carbon footprint through energy-efficient practices, waste reduction initiatives, and promoting sustainable behaviours among our employees and partners. We are also actively exploring ways to integrate more decarbonisation solutions into our operations and supply chain to minimise our environmental impact further.
We are proud to play our part in creating a more sustainable future, helping to combat climate change and sustain our environment for future generations.
