April marks Stress Awareness Month – an opportunity to raise awareness about the causes and solutions for stress in our day-to-day lives.

Such awareness events serve as important reminders and align with our commitment to supporting employee mental health and wellbeing at Rund. We believe in doing all we can to help employees find methods which can improve their own personal wellbeing.

This year, we have introduced various new wellbeing-focused initiatives. We kicked things off by announcing our company charity of the year, the Lighthouse Club. The charity provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to workers within the construction and surveying industry, along with their families. 

We have planned events specifically targeted at raising funds for the charity, beginning with Wear it Purple Day. Rund employees dressed in their best purple attire at work, from vibrant wigs to quirky tutus, to encourage donations – with the event raising a total of £583.

The day coincided with the launch of our Wellbeing Hub – a dedicated internal platform which gives employees quick and easy-to-understand information and resources to aid personal wellbeing, both inside and outside of work.

We have been using additional awareness days to promote other wellbeing-focused initiatives at Rund – from our weekly office fruit deliveries for Health and Nutrition Week, to our office breakout rooms and facilities for International Day of Happiness.

We also introduced new designated Wellbeing Champions for our offices, who are responsible for regularly communicating our initiatives with the team, while suggesting and implementing new ideas.

Our wellbeing and fundraising initiatives will continue throughout 2023, inspired by our whole team to ensure we are providing the right level support to each and every person at Rund.
