Criterion Capital has appointed Rund as Clerk of Works to provide quality, fire-stopping and M&E inspections across the programme of new installation work on the Assembly Hotel element of the redevelopment of the iconic Criterion  Building.
Project Background

Criterion Capital is a privately-held British property company which owns and manages property estate in prime areas of London, particularly in Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. Being situated in Piccadilly Circus, the Criterion Building is surrounded by several notable buildings. Piccadilly Circus Underground Station is underneath the plaza, part of the London Underground system. Our Clerk of Works will be working with all project stakeholders to fully consider the works, especially given the site’s location in one of London’s busiest tourist areas, the sensitivity of the works and the neighbours located within the vicinity of the development.

The Solution

Our role as Clerk of Works is instrumental in ensuring all site operations and the refurbishment works comply with the Criterion Capitals requirements and current legislation. We are ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards, in line with detailed specifications, budgets and timescales. As well as monitoring the quality, construction, compliance and progression of the works, our remit is extended to cover fire-stopping and mechanical and electrical inspections.

Our in-house expertise is instrumental in identifying and mitigating any foreseeable risks in the project’s early stages.
