Woodgate, Pease Pottage welcomed the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sajid Javid MP last week to see first-hand the new housing being developed under a 50:50 joint venture agreement between Thakeham and Radian. Woodgate, on which Rund is appointed as the joint venture supervisor, is a new development of 619 homes which includes a primary school as well as the future new home for St. Catherine’s Hospice.
The Chancellor toured the site to see the construction of the new development in progress. With national news reporters from BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4 News also visiting the development, the Chancellor used the backdrop of Woodgate to comment on the latest GDP figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). A spokesperson for the ONS said “GDP grew steadily in the third quarter ending in September by 0.3%, mainly thanks to a strong July. Services again led the way, with construction also performing well’.
As the joint venture supervisor, we are providing technical due diligence and assessing the development as it progresses in a way that is both independent and impartial. Woodgate adds to our significant portfolio of residential-led, mixed-use developments and complements our wealth of knowledge in assisting developers in delivering joint venture schemes.
