Rund has expanded its Building Surveying team, with the appointment of Senior Surveyor, Stephen Seeney as part of a strategy to strengthen its existing service offering across the UK.
Stephen will work with our team across a full range of Building Surveying disciplines including dilapidations, contract administration, tenants’ alterations, and technical due diligence.
Stephen qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2014, and his new appointment at Rund follows previous roles at Ei Group, Cell:cm Chartered Surveyors and Hollis (formally Malcolm Hollis LLP).
Stephen commented: “I understand the importance of investing in a high-quality Building Surveying service to ensure works are successfully completed in line with detailed specifications, as I have worked both client-side and consultant-side throughout my career. Rund holds a strong reputation for its Building Surveying services, so I’m looking forward to helping the business develop this offering and grow its client portfolio across the UK.”
Rund has identified several opportunities for multiple market sectors to benefit from its exceptional Building Surveying services.
Geoff West, Managing Surveyor at Rund commented: “Our experienced Building Surveying team can accommodate a wide range of needs and assist in many emerging challenges across sectors, such as the commercial sector, where landlords and tenants will be looking to modify their existing offices to suit new remote working practices. Another example is the education sector, where schools, colleges and higher education establishments will be looking to maintain and update their existing stock, providing bespoke buildings to suit individual needs and attract more students in the long-term.
“We have seen a trend in recent months where clients are looking closely at their existing stock and determining how they can put appropriate, cost-effective maintenance plans in place to ensure high-quality conditions are retained. Rund’s Building Surveying Team is well placed to offer a complete professional service from initial survey, identifying defects and items requiring attention through to administrating any refurbishment works on site.”
Our Building Surveying team has extensive experience following years of refurbishment project work across sectors including arts and leisure, commercial, education and residential. We have long-term working relationships with multiple housing providers and have worked on prestigious heritage sites, including the Royal Albert Hall where we are currently progressing vital upgrades as Project Manager.
Geoff West continued: “Stephen Seeney is a welcome addition to our team as he brings significant expertise from across the industrial, office and retail sectors. By investing in our Building Surveying team, we can expand into new sectors, identify new opportunities and enhance our Building Surveying offering all over the country.”
