Rund is working with Places for People to provide an extended scope of services at a flagship residential development in the heart of Milton Keynes, appointed as Project Manager, Clerk of Works, and Building Surveyor.
Brooklands involves the creation of 2,500 new mixed tenure homes in a thriving new development, comprising three schools, a hotel and 100 acres of parkland. The development is being delivered by Places for People, one of the UK’s largest property management, development, and regeneration companies.
We have been working as Project Manager and Clerk of Works on Phases One and Two of the project, involving the creation of one, two and three bedroom apartments and houses within Brooklands Square. Phase One involves the creation of 21 flats and 4 commercial units, with Phase Two including the development of 14 houses.
Carina McBarnette, Senior Surveyor at Rund Partnership commented: “Brooklands is set to make a substantial contribution to the wider regeneration of Milton Keynes. This versatile development will accommodate various housing and commercial needs. Our services will ensure all units are built to high-quality standards and serve their purpose for many years to come.”
Our extensive scope of work across Phases One and Two has involved detailed contract administration and coordinating all parties involved in the project build. Our expert Clerk of Works team has also been proficient at identifying any defects and advising solutions throughout construction works, ensuring high-quality standards are reflected across every unit.
Following our demonstration of expertise and professional competence on Phases One and Two, we were also appointed as Project Manager and Clerk of Works services on Phase 6A, as well as Building Surveyor at Brookland Square. Our Building Surveyor services involve conducting detailed building surveys on existing commercial properties, and advising on any potential issues which need rectifying, such as waste pipe relocation and compartmentation issues. Our work also includes managing and reviewing risk assessments across all units.
