Rund has been commissioned by Abri (formerly Radian and Yarlington Group) to provide Joint Venture Monitoring services on a major residential development on the outskirts of Weymouth, Dorset.
Abri and Lovell, part of the Morgan Sindall Group, have signed a joint venture agreement on the multi-million-pound project, involving the creation of 500 homes – 225 of which will be affordable. The homes will be built alongside a school, care home, local centre, commercial and employment space.
Paul Belfield, Director at Rund commented: “We’re proud to be working on another substantial joint venture project, which will benefit from multiple areas of expertise and resources contributed by two well-established organisations. This development will allow more people the opportunity to become part of a thriving community. Our role as Joint Venture Monitor will involve assisting Abri with the successful delivery of the project.”
James Pennington, Director of Development at Abri added: “Our joint venture project with Lovell forms part of our wider business plan to deliver at least 10,000 new homes in the next 10 years. We’re pleased to work on another project with Rund, who share the same high standards of quality in construction and align with our own values. We believe everyone has the right to a safe, warm, and sustainable home, and to be part of a community where everyone has the opportunity to belong, grow and thrive.”
