Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has extended Rund’s services remit to continue supporting renovation works at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.
The established Grade II Listed building dates back to the 1920s and has retained many of its original neo-classical design features. Our expert Building Surveying team will help BCP Council enhance and maintain the iconic building through an extensive scope of work.
Our remit includes a thorough site investigation and associated enabling works for the refurbishment and redecoration of the auditorium, with all works taking place around the theatre’s ongoing schedule of live entertainment.
Ashleigh Stephens, Senior Surveyor at Rund commented: “The Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre has many unique characteristics which make it such a highly regarded building in the area. It is essential any works are sympathetic and considerate of its rich heritage and optimise the performance of this strategically important asset in BCP’s portfolio.
“Our Building Surveying team is highly proficient in complex asset management schemes, having worked on many projects involving Listed buildings and sensitive restorations over the years. Our experts prioritise exceptional efficiency throughout works, mitigating any disruption to ongoing operations.
“It is fantastic to continue our work with BCP Council as they work to reinvigorate some of Dorset’s most established buildings, so they can continue serving their communities for many years to come.”
Our new appointment adds to a line of previous projects we have been involved in at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre with BCP Council. These include the creation of a new Drama Centre for the Arts University Bournemouth, and the Pavilion Dance Centre – a 200-seat auditorium. We also acted as Contract Administrator and Designer while the building underwent additional refurbishment works, including stonework and cast-iron gutter repairs.
Other Listed buildings within our extensive project portfolio include the Royal Albert Hall and the London School of Economics.
