Our Clerk of Works services have been recognised again as long-term client, Network Homes has appointed us at an £80m residential scheme near Central Middlesex Hospital.
The West London development will include 158 new one, two and three-bedroom homes, split between Shared Ownership and London Affordable Rent. Sustainability will form a core element of the scheme, with wildflower bio roofs created on top of three of the development’s buildings to support local wildlife. All buildings will incorporate greener energy sources with solar panels, air source heat pumps and low energy LED lighting.
The site also has a rich heritage, hosting a former refectory which was once part of a Victorian workhouse. Sympathetic works will take place to convert the refectory into a high-quality commercial space.
Phil Smith, Director at Rund commented: “This outstanding development will set the bar high for affordable housing across the capital. Not only will it help more local people onto the housing ladder amid soaring property prices, but it will also go above and beyond carbon reduction targets set for new homes by the Greater London Authority.”
Our broad range of responsibilities includes thorough quality monitoring procedures, and we will also provide our highly acclaimed Fire Stopping and Mechanical & Electrical Clerk of Works services. Our primary objective is to ensure first-hand that correct specifications are being delivered to the highest standards across design, safety, workmanship, and installation.
Phil Smith continued: “Exceptional quality standards will be essential at all stages of the project, so we are delighted to offer our Clerk of Works services. The scheme adds to our ongoing portfolio of work with Network Homes, as we help them towards their target of delivering a minimum of 1,000 affordable homes by March 2023.”
