Optivo has recently achieved planning permission to develop 40 affordable homes in Ticehurst, East Sussex. Rund is proud to be appointed as employer’s agent and principal designer on this development, which will be built on a greenfield site known locally as Banky Field. Work is due to begin in July 2019 and is due for completion in early 2021.

Optivo, a local housing association who purchased the land, will provide a mix of 20 affordable rented dwellings and 20 shared equity affordable homes. The properties will include one, two, three and four-bedroom properties and a combination of houses and flats. Optivo is partnering with Sussex based Thakeham Client to create these new high-quality homes for local people.

With a focus on open space, the density of the built environment will be minimised thanks to the availability of parking in preference to garages. The project will also benefit from a large open space to the north of the site that will accommodate an informal play area.
