Congratulations to Thakeham and Radian who have recently announced their significant joint venture to develop more than 600 new homes in Pease Pottage, West Sussex.
Rund is proud to be appointed as Independent Monitoring Surveyor on this development, which will also provide a home for locally based charity St Catherine’s Hospice, a new primary school, funding for a secondary school, a new village green, shop and café.
Given our specialist knowledge of residential developments, Rund is appointed to provide independent technical due diligence. As the independent monitor, Rund will be assessing the project as it progresses in a way that is both independent and impartial. Our proactive ‘early warning system’ will anticipate potential issues which may affect the project delivery and ensure there is better-informed decision making. We will provide a truly added value service to the delivery team by contributing and enhancing risk, financial, programme and quality management.
The joint venture will be split on a 50/50 basis, with both Thakeham and Radian sharing in the cost of the development of the homes and sharing in the income streams. The new homes on the 45-hectare site are expected to be developed within eight years. The overall development has outline planning permission and detailed planning permission has been granted for the first two phases, which includes the new primary school.
Pease Pottage adds to Rund’s growing portfolio of significant residential-led, mixed-use developments and complements our wealth of knowledge in assisting developers in delivering joint venture schemes.
