Rund assists in delivering unrivalled quality standards for The Madison project

Rund is helping long-term client Network Homes capitalise on London’s renowned reputation for high-quality living, as its iconic residential project, The Madison, continues development.

The Madison is in the heart of Canary Wharf and spans over 53 storeys, offering panoramic views of the capital. We are providing our Clerk of Works services for Network Homes as they develop 58 affordable rent and 46 London Living Rent homes across the first 15 storeys. The apartments will be offered at a subsidised rate for middle-income households under the London Living Rent programme, enabling tenants to build up a deposit and ultimately buy their own home.

Terry Lomas, Senior Clerk of Works at Rund, said: “The Madison has been an eagerly anticipated project in one of London’s most vibrant locations for residential development. The building represents high-quality living at its finest, as each residential unit has been built to high specification – so our Clerk of Works service has already proven its value.”

Our Clerk of Works role is essential in ensuring all exacting standards are met. The project has benefitted from our early input on design and buildability in the initial design stages. Our in-house expertise in Fire Stopping and Mechanical & Electrical has also been instrumental in identifying and mitigating any foreseeable risks in the project’s early stages.

The Madison is designed by award-winning architectural practice Make Architects. Following an in-depth design process and intricate assessment of every aspect of its design, construction and performance, the resulting building promises to deliver an exceptional living environment.

Matt Cattell, Head of Construction at Network Homes added: “The Madison sets the bar high for affordable accommodation in London, so it is essential that every intricate specification is met throughout the project. The Rund team always goes above and beyond to deliver quality in construction, so we look forward to seeing our combined efforts deliver another successful development.”
