Rund remains dedicated to nurturing early career development for aspiring surveyors by making additional appointments to its well-established graduate scheme. This week, we are excited to welcome the newest members to our team, as Daniel Maddox joins the London office as Trainee Surveyor, and James Rixon joins the Southampton office on a 6-month placement during his final year at University.
Daniel joins us following his participation in our graduate assessment centre in March. Having previously worked as a Building Site Assistant and a Warehouse Operative, he is keen to pursue a career in construction – with his whole family working in the industry - and is particularly seeking to gain new skills and experience as a Quantity Surveyor. He has cited particular sectors of interest as residential, commercial, and industrial.
James is currently in his final year at the University of Reading, where he is studying Quantity Surveying. He is ultimately aiming to pursue this pathway into full-time cost consultancy work. His past work experience has included a one-week placement with a housing developer where he worked alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor, as well as working as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer Assistant for a local M&E company. James is looking to further apply the skills and knowledge he has learned from his degree in a practical environment during his 6-month placement with us.
We are exceptionally proud to support aspiring surveyors by appointing Daniel and James, helping them to launch a successful career in surveying and construction consultancy. Our graduate programme for 2024 has so far been a resounding success, with a talented group of graduates having already made significant strides in their careers thanks to the support of our committed team. Their energy and fresh perspectives are helping us to drive innovation, and we're excited to see their continued growth as they shape the future of our industry.
