Rund joins hundreds of industry leaders at Global Student Housing Conference

This week, our Executive Director Paul Belfield attended the long-established Global Student Housing Conference.

This year’s event addressed critical issues in the student accommodation investment market, including an insightful analysis of the trends in student property investment and where the UK sits within the changing landscape. It was fascinating to look at key opportunity areas to develop and diversify the future of the sector.

Key topics included the impact of increasing interest rates, how the sector can effectively appeal to Gen Z (with an insight into the student GDP), and the importance of ESG and its impact on investment decisions.

Paul Belfield, Executive Director at Rund commented: “This year’s Global Student Housing Conference was filled with valuable discussions which will help shape the future of the student accommodation market.

“The sector has tackled many challenges over the years, and it was intriguing to hear about how the industry is building future resilience by focusing on enhancing the student experience. There were lots of discussions about the need to prioritise student wellbeing, and the roles technology and innovation play in improving overall experience.

“Such events are highly valuable for us at Rund as we take away key learnings and insights, helping us enhance our ongoing work across student accommodation schemes. Our team is committed to ensuring every residence serves its purpose as an exceptional quality living space for students in the long-term.”
