Rund is pleased to announce the appointment of Khang Le as Senior Surveyor in our London office, along with Eddie Pownall as Senior Clerk of Works in our Birmingham office.
Khang brings valuable expertise to the team, with over five years’ experience as a client-side Project Manager delivering affordable housing and regeneration schemes within a London local authority environment. He joins us from the London Borough of Southwark, where he spent approximately six years, initially joining as a Business Support Officer (New Homes) before progressing to Project Manager. We are pleased that he is now bringing that experience to Rund as he continues to develop his career within the consultancy sector.
Most recently, Khang has been working within the Southwark Construction team, delivering residential housing schemes through construction, handover and the Defects Liability Period. His scheme experience includes the Aylesbury First Development Site, comprising 229 units, and Tissington Court, which includes 35 social housing units alongside communal podium space and a multi-use games area.
In his new role, Khang will draw on his strong background in administering JCT contracts, appointing and managing consultant teams, and overseeing contractor performance. His experience spans affordable and specialist housing delivery, regeneration, procurement, design reviews, programme and risk management, cost control, stakeholder engagement and defects inspection. He also brings a strong working knowledge of GLA Affordable Housing Programme funding requirements, compliance reporting and milestone management.
Eddie brings 35 years of UK experience delivering complex mechanical, electrical and utilities projects across healthcare, data centres, industrial and commercial sectors - with a strong track record of controlling costs, recovering programmes and achieving zero-defect handovers on projects ranging from £250k to £5m+.
Most recently, Eddie has been working as a client-side M&E Clerk of Works across a £300m+ mixed portfolio - including tower blocks, student accommodation and a modular hospital extension - overseeing quality, compliance and stage sign-offs across mechanical, electrical and fire stopping.
Over his career he has delivered standout projects including mechanical cooling for a live broadcast facility, full utilities installations for specialist vehicle and automotive manufacturing sites, M&E packages for nuclear and food production facilities, and HTM-compliant works within a university dental school.
Together, these appointments further strengthen Rund’s ability to support clients with experienced, high-quality delivery across a wide range of sectors and services. We are delighted to welcome Khang and Eddie to the team and look forward to the contribution they will make.
