Following the successful delivery of high-quality, affordable housing units, Rund is proud to extend its scope of service as dedicated Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Clerk of Works, and Principal Designer for Pal Properties Ltd on the private housing element at Aurum Green.
The Aurum Green project includes the creation of 130 residential units in total, with 52 affordable homes developed – consisting of a mix of shared ownership and affordable rented properties. Rund was originally appointed by long-term client, Grainger Trust, the affordable housing arm of Grainger plc, as Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works on the affordable homes, closely managing the contract administration and ensuring quality standards were second to none throughout the development process.
Recognising Rund’s commitment to delivering high standards of quality in construction, Pal Properties Ltd appointed us for a wider scope of service across the remaining phase of private homes. This project follows Pal Properties Ltd.’s other successful residential and commercial projects in London, Birmingham, Newmarket and Cambridge. The company is ultimately owned by two of the largest leading construction and development companies in Singapore; namely Woh Hup (Private) Ltd, and Lee Kim Tah who undertake well known and iconic developments in South East Asia.
Our scope includes managing multiple parties involved in the project, such as Engineers and Landscape Designers to ensure all planning and legal obligations are met. We are also overseeing the appointment and management of sub-contractors, managing the overall scheme budget and providing regular cost updates, and ensuring elements of the scheme are sufficiently handed over to the local authority for adoption.
Tim Woodman, Managing Surveyor at Rund, said: “We offer a high-quality service to our clients, so are delighted that our value on the Aurum Green project has been recognised and extended through this appointment with Pal Properties. Our broad management role means we are closely working with multiple different parties involved in the project to ensure all objectives are met.”
