On Saturday, 1st November 2025, 16 colleagues from Rund completed the Surrey Three Peaks Challenge, raising over £2,400 for Lighthouse, our company charity.
The demanding 23-mile route through the Surrey Hills tested the team's endurance. The weather was kind, and during the glorious autumnal day, the team walked the round-trip, taking in the three classic Surrey hills: Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill, and Box Hill. With over 1060 metres of ascent, the final push was up to Box Hill – starting by crossing the stepping stones (with no reported falls into the river) and the 275 steps up to the peak.
The funds raised by the Rund team will support Lighthouse's vital work providing 24/7 mental, physical, and financial support services to construction workers and their families across the UK and Ireland. As a charity dedicated to the construction community, Lighthouse offers confidential helplines, proactive wellbeing support, and financial assistance to those in need.
The Surrey Three Peaks challenge represents a significant physical undertaking, requiring participants to navigate varied terrain across one of the longest continuous stretches in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Congratulations to everyone at Rund who participated in this year’s challenge. Thank you for your commitment to supporting such a worthy cause.
