
YTL Developments has appointed Rund as Independent Certifier on a PBSA project comprising 1,514 student beds at Brabazon, the new neighbourhood for Bristol being built by YTL Developments.
Brabazon represents one of the UK's largest and most ambitious urban regeneration projects. The multi-billion pound brownfield site spans 380 acres and will be transformed into a new city district in North Bristol.
Rund brings substantial value and assurance as Independent Certifier to large-scale developments. The PBSA project at Brabazon comprises four eight-storey blocks (A – D), providing 1,514 student beds, delivered in two phases, with Phase 1 being Blocks A & B (745 beds) and Phase 2 being Blocks C & D (769 beds).
The masterplan for Brabazon includes over 6,500 new homes and 86 acres of public squares, parks and playing fields. The 3.7m square feet of commercial space will support up to 30,000 jobs, while over £100 million is being invested in sustainable transport infrastructure. At its heart will be the YTL Arena Bristol - a state-of-the-art 19,500-capacity entertainment venue, repurposing the historic Hangars where Concorde was built.
