Rund is delighted to announce a major milestone for one of its flagship Build to Rent (BTR) projects - Sherlock Quarter - which has now achieved practical completion.
Our client, BTR operator Get Living has officially opened the doors to this striking new development on Sherlock Street in Birmingham’s city centre, with the first reservations already secured.
Previously known as Maker’s Yard, the scheme delivers 551 high-quality apartments, including 47 affordable homes, alongside an exceptional mix of amenities. Residents can enjoy social lounges, a gym, co-working spaces, a landscaped podium, and a stunning double-height sky lounge, all designed to foster a vibrant community.
Rund’s role as Independent Certifier and Independent Employer’s Agent has been pivotal throughout the project. We have overseen construction compliance, progress monitoring, and certification processes for practical completion and defect resolution.
Tom French, Associate Director at Rund, commented “The successful completion of Sherlock Quarter is a significant achievement for all involved. Our team has provided meticulous oversight throughout the project, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency at every stage. It has been a privilege to support Get Living and Watkin Jones in delivering this high-quality development, which will contribute to Birmingham’s growing Build to Rent offering. Congratulations to everyone who played a role in bringing this scheme to life.”
