Rund has been appointed by Dolphin Living to provide Project Monitoring services for the redevelopment of New Era Estate in Hackney, with our Clerk of Works team supporting the inspection and quality-monitoring elements of the commission.
Construction is now underway on the scheme, which will deliver 208 new homes, including 99 homes for intermediate rent, alongside retail space and landscaped communal areas.
For Dolphin Living, the project supports its purpose of providing high-quality affordable homes for working Londoners. As part of the project, original residents have been temporarily relocated and will return to the completed development once their new homes are complete. The development also places a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, with new homes supported by measures including air source heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, green and blue roofs, biodiversity enhancements and extensive planting.
Acting on behalf of Dolphin Living, Rund will monitor the Agreement for Lease and Development while providing independent oversight of programme, cost, risk, quality, and compliance throughout construction. Our role also includes monitoring progress, reviewing change control and supporting successful delivery through to handover and the defects period.
This appointment further strengthens Rund's growing portfolio of residential redevelopment projects - which includes Abri’s ‘The Granges’ redevelopment in Windsor - ultimately providing clients with the assurance of experienced project oversight and quality-focused site monitoring from construction through to completion.
