Paul Belfield, Director of Rund, recently joined fellow delegates at the ‘West Midlands Forum for Growth’. The theme for the 2019 forum was ‘Investing in the Future’ and the conference included a mix of keynote talks, panel sessions, presentations and breakout sessions that explored the region’s growth opportunities and showcased major game-changing projects, innovation, technology, enterprise and housing initiatives across West Midlands.
Organised by Movers and Shakers UK, the forum’s morning session focused on ‘Inward Investment’ and economic growth and looked at how the region can capitalise on its progress; showcased the £10bn West Midlands Investment Portfolio and explored how public and private sectors can collaborate to drive future growth. The afternoon session focused on people, places, and communities and explored how the growth in the region should be inclusive and deliver positive social outcomes.
With 215,000 new homes to be delivered in the West Midlands by 2031, housing was a strong feature of the forum. Here at Rund, we are working with registered housing providers and developers to help deliver new homes in the region, ensuring that good design and quality in construction is delivering better homes to enhance the lives of people in the region and create a stronger sense of place.
