Today is World Mental Health Day, which seeks to raise awareness of mental health and drive positive change for everyone’s mental health. It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you are struggling.
At Rund, we wholly understand the importance of advocating for mental health, particularly within the working environment, which plays a significant part in day-to-day life. Our mission as the Employer of Choice is to promote good mental health and provide support for any employee who is experiencing mental ill health, including anxiety or depression.
We have taken the opportunity today to promote our Mental Health First Aider team within the business, who act as a point of contact for an employee who is experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress. Our dedicated team is in place to offer our employees confidential and non-judgemental listening and guidance, ultimately supporting individual wellbeing both in and out of the working environment. We are proud to be working with MHFA England to provide appropriate training for our Mental Health First Aider team, to ensure a completely professional and comprehensive service which provides our employees with the best support available.
2023 has been a fantastic year for employee-focused initiatives at Rund, involving the launch of our Wellbeing Hub and our staff social networking site, a successful Staff Away Day at Newbury Racecourse, the publication of our new Family Policy, and the introduction of new benefits such as length of service/life event vouchers and our Cycle to Work scheme. We know there is always room for improvement though, and our dedicated People team are actively working on our next initiative to ensure employee wellbeing at Rund remains a consistent priority.
