At Rund, the very core of our service is to ensure the delivery of sustainable, liveable communities for people to thrive in. To this end, we understand the importance of charity for select groups and individuals within these communities, and how, as a business, we are able to offer our support and deliver our mission of building stronger communities – together. To this end, we are exceptionally proud to confirm that over the course of 2023, Rund donated/raised over £15,000 for charity.
Along with the selection of and pledge to our company charity – the Lighthouse Club – for the second year running, we encourage our employees to take part in their own individual fundraising efforts for charities that mean something to them. In 2023 alone, we saw members of staff run the Royal Parks Half Marathon and grow out their moustaches for Movember. Another way in which we capture interest in charity is through our December donations drive, wherein we ask all employees to suggest a charity to receive a donation from us, on their behalf. This donation drive is particularly special as our list contains a range of local and national charities – meaning our support is recognised by myriad communities across the UK, including the cities we are based in. Some of the charities included within our 2023 list include Papyrus, Rose Road Association, Hannah’s Appeal, Salvation Army Croydon, and KidsOut – amongst many more.
We are greatly looking forward to continuing our fundraising and charity initiatives throughout 2024. This year has also seen the launch of our brand-new ESG page which delves into our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and forms a wider discussion on community improvement and where we see our role within this – with charity forming just one element of how we make an impact.
