Rund is delighted to announce its continued support of the Lighthouse Club charity in 2024.
The Lighthouse Club is the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and allied-industry workers, such as those at surveying and construction companies, along with their families. They receive no public funding and rely on the generosity of those within the industry to help them continue their vital work.
When initially researching charities to support as a company, we wanted to ensure we selected one which represented both our employees and our industry, and the Lighthouse Club was the clear frontrunner. Through our partnership, Rund employees have access to a variety of useful resources relating to emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing – including a confidential hotline/text service and training courses – all of which are available on our employee Wellbeing Hub, launched in early 2023 to provide a permanent and accessible place for staff to reach important wellbeing resources.
Over the course of 2023 our staff raised funds for the Lighthouse Club through a range of charity-centric activities, including a Wear It Purple Day and a Christmas Jumper Day. More fundraising activities are planned for 2024 to add to our cumulative total. This is in addition to Rund’s other charity initiatives, which include our annual Christmas donations list – where staff can put forward a charity of their choice – along with other individual staff events such as the London Marathon and Movember.
We look forward to providing you with an update on our charity initiatives throughout 2024.
