Rund’s graduate scheme is continuing to go from strength to strength in supporting aspiring surveyors in the initial stages of their careers, as it welcomes the newest addition to its Southampton team.
Ryan Long joins us today as a Trainee Surveyor. Ryan was offered a full-time position with us following a successful and informative two-week work experience placement with us in May, which came as a result of his attendance at our Graduate Recruitment Assessment Day in March, where he initially expressed interest in getting some practical experience in the range of services we offer.
Ryan’s previous professional experience includes working as a freelancer for GOTO Events, a highly rated corporate events company in Poole. Before this, he studied Physics at the University of Sussex, volunteered at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Wimborne as a maths tutor, and competed internationally for England in athletics. Ryan is hoping to apply the numerous skills developed through these endeavours in building the foundations for a long-term career in surveying with Rund.
Ryan is the latest graduate recruit at Rund following our recent focus on enhancing our graduate scheme – which has included our own Graduate Assessment Centre in March, alongside attendance at various University careers fairs and similar assessment centres/bootcamps. Our investment in graduate careers is continuing throughout 2024, with additional graduate recruits set to join us throughout the summer months.
