On Wednesday 27th March, Rund held its first Graduate Recruitment Assessment Day in London, opening the door to 17 students including a mix of recent and upcoming graduates.
The day included a welcome buffet and introduction by our Managing Director, Richard Mussell, followed by a range of group tasks designed to test competencies and collaboration.
Thanks to the hard work of our People Team and numerous volunteers across the business, we are delighted to confirm that the Graduate Recruitment Assessment Day was a resounding success, with 6 placements offered for our Summer 2024 Graduate Programme, spanning across all four of our offices. We are incredibly excited to support these individuals in the launch of their professional careers in building and construction consultancy through our established Graduate Pathway, which you can read more about here.
The Graduate Pathway is a testament to our ongoing investment in supporting the next generation of talented surveyors and forms a key part of our #BuildingStrongerFuturesTogether campaign, which highlights the collaborative and inclusive working environment brimming with personal and professional development opportunities that each employee has access to at Rund.
The success of our ongoing graduate career programme can be evidenced by one of our 2023 graduate recruits – Max Minney – who, as of the 1st of April, has moved up our Graduate Pathway in a promotion to Assistant Surveyor. We would like to take this special opportunity to congratulate Max, who has performed exceptionally in his role and provided significant support to his team members, displaying a clear motivation to succeed in his career.
Caroline Deakin, Director at Rund and responsible for the coordination of the day and our wider Graduate Pathway, commented: “It was fantastic to see such a great turnout for the first Graduate Recruitment Assessment Day aligned to our refreshed graduate development programme. Each student brought something different to the table which is something we celebrate at Rund – a variety of abilities and perspectives ensures true collaboration as one team. The success of the day is reflected in the impact made to both these students and the team here who have helped bring this vision to life - as a business with such strong ties to nurturing the next generation and bringing new people into the industry for its future longevity and success, we are exceptionally excited to welcome our new cohort in the summer.”
