Rund has welcomed a new Senior Surveyor to its Bristol team and a new Surveyor to its Southampton team.
Our new Senior Surveyor, Neil Kaplan, has been working in the construction industry for 50 years and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He joins us following his role as Senior Quantity Surveyor at Jason Powers Consultants Group, where his responsibilities included contract negotiations, preparing, and presenting detailed cost estimates, and managing JCT contracts. Prior to this, he spent 4 years as a freelance consultant on a luxury housing development in the Cotswolds, where each plot was valued between £2m - £4m. His role involved costing for the optimum development, along with maintaining the project CVIS and tracker and negotiating tender packages, amongst other commercial services.
Over his career Neil has also worked across global multi-million-pound new build schemes, including projects in Mozambique, Zambia, and Johannesburg. His sectors of expertise include residential, commercial, and healthcare.
Our new Surveyor, Dominic Buckley, has worked in the construction industry for 5 years and is currently working towards his APC. He joins us following his role as Building Surveyor at JR Bullock & Co in Ringwood, where he was recruited to help expand the business into Surrey and North Hampshire. Here, Dominic carried out RICs level 2 and 3 building surveys and reports, commercial surveys, and schedule of conditions, as well as assisting with defects surveys on domestic properties.
Prior to JR Bullock & Co, Dominic worked in the capacity of Assistant Building Surveyor and Assistant Project Manager respectively at Prinesgate Chartered Surveyors and Guildford Borough Council, working primarily across residential buildings throughout the South East to evaluate the condition of existing properties and housing stock.
