Rund is delighted to say its work in improving quality in construction has been recognised again. Given our reputation in the industry, The Guinness Partnership has recently appointed our Clerk of Work services on its Leaside Lock scheme in Bromley-by-Bow.
The project will see the development of 500 mixed tenure homes, and the creation of a community centre, commercial areas and retail spaces.
The Guinness Partnership recently recognised Rund’s work, and in particular our Clerk of Works services, on Thrayle House in Brixton for another Housing Provider. The complexities overcome at Thrayle House and the high standards of quality in construction that The Guinness Partnership is seeking to achieve in East London all pointed to Rund being the most suitable Clerk of Works for Leaside Lock. As well as monitoring quality, construction, compliance and progression of the works on Leaside Lock, our remit is extended to cover fire-stopping inspections and mechanical and electrical inspections.
Cameron Cappus, a Senior Clerk of Works at Rund, said: “Pushing forwards and developing increased numbers of affordable homes is crucial. As an industry, however, we must not lose sight that developments should be of the highest possible standards of construction. We’re delighted to be appointed on Leaside Lock and applaud The Guinness Partnership for seeking to ensure the highest standards in quality and building safety will be achieved.”
