The development will create a range of affordable homes, of which 32 will be Affordable Rent, 4 Rent to Buy, 17 Shared Ownership, and 15 Social Rent. These will be offered as both flats and houses, accommodating 2-6 occupants.
Environmental consciousness is at the heart of the project. The development includes EV charging points to promote sustainable lifestyles. Ample green space will be integrated within the site, encouraging wellbeing through connections with nature. Further, Stonewater will create enhanced landscaping and ecology zones, retaining existing trees and hedgerows while adding new planting to produce a 10% net biodiversity gain. Overall, the scheme prioritises harmony with the wider local landscape and accessibility to the natural surroundings.
Our Employer’s Agent service involves advising Stonewater on project risks of a construction or technical nature and providing mitigation measures for such risks. As part of our role, we have established and maintained project management procedures, hierarchy of responsibility, and lines of communication for the exchange of information, ensuring everyone works closely as a team. We have also provided advice upon implications of all matters affecting the site/property design, use, and cost.
As Clerk of Works, we are ensuring that the work is carried out to Stonewater’s standards, specification, and schedule. We are also making sure that the correct materials and workmanship are used and that Stonewater receives quality work and value for money. This involves attending site meetings and providing a regular progress report, among other measures taken.
As Principal Designer, we are overseeing safety and risk compliance from post-contract through to handover. Incorporating principles of mutual trust and co-operation, we are helping to deliver a successful project on time and to budget in accordance with the project objectives.
