Starlight Investments, a global real estate investment and asset management firm, has appointed Rund to provide pre-contract Technical Due Diligence and post-contract Principal Consultant and Clerk of Works services for a new development in Manchester.
Project Background

Parkside forms the third and final tower in a new residential cluster at Colliers Yard. The development spans 41 storeys comprising 518 high-quality new homes in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The building is enhanced by amenities including co-working lounges, a gym, a disco/cinema room, and a spa, while accommodating 11,000 sq ft of commercial space across five ground-floor units. Designed by Denton Corker Marshall, the overall structure is set off by a bronze aluminium panelled façade.

The Solution

Through our Technical Due Diligence services, Starlight received an early insight into risks associated with the project and where the scheme did not comply with Starlight's typical requirements. Rund inspected and reported on elements including surveys and reports, Building Safety Act, and operational requirements of the building, enabling us to establish mitigations where necessary.

Our Principal Consultant services include ensuring adherence to the contract, providing advice, and monitoring the maintenance of Starlight’s appointments. This supports Starlight in meeting its deadlines, obligations, and achievements throughout the project.

As Clerk of Works, Rund is overseeing site operations throughout the project. To ensure the new development fulfils Starlight’s requirements and meets health and safety standards, Rund is providing general quality, fire-stopping, and M&E inspections.
