Housing provider Abri formed a joint venture with Vistry (now the UK’s largest housebuilder given their acquisition of Countryside) to build 120 new homes at Reeds Lane, Sayer’s Common in West Sussex - forming a brand-new community called Sayer’s Meadow.
Project Background

Sayer’s Meadow is located on the cusp of the South Downs National Park, providing a tranquil countryside location perfect for growing families.

The development is close to the popular township of Burgess Hill and boasts great accessibility to local shops and restaurants.

The development has been split into two phases, comprising 120 new dwellings including 30% for affordable housing, open space and a sustainable drainage system. The residential units include a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.

The Solution

Entering into a joint venture with Vistry at Sayer’s Common was an excellent opportunity for Abri to provide a high-quality mix of affordable and open market housing.

Rund is appointed as the Joint Venture Supervisor and Project Monitor, acting on behalf of the LLP. Therefore, this is an independent and impartial appointment, requiring having due regard for the interests of both parties of the limited liability partnership.

Our non-partisan role will ensure that a viable scheme is delivered, that risk is reduced, and that improved gross development value is achieved for both Abri and Vistry.

Our day-to-day input towards the scheme involves facilitating key stakeholder meetings, preparing monthly reports, certifying progress against the drawdown schedule and LLP agreement, advising on variations and maintaining records of all documents received and issued in connection with the project.
